Texas played UCF and ZERO ranked teams in non-conference! Based on who they have played and points allowed and NOT playing STARTERS ENTIRE game vs UCF, NU has the best defense in the Big 12. Football is based on SCORING and PREVENTING SCORES, not YARDS! NU is #1 in the Big 12 and #2 natonally in scoring defense! UT fans harped on that last year when they were 51st in total D and 17 in scoring D! NU has no offense at all and that makes their #1 scoring defense all the more impressive!!!

A good defense does not make a good team overall. You have to have both. Why, you ask? Like mentioned above, see the Iowa State - Nebraska game.
