The computers still aren’t very impressed with Texas.

The Longhorns, despite ranking second in both human polls, slipped behind Florida and Alabama in Sunday’s Bowl Championship Series standings.

Texas beat Central Florida, 35-3, Saturday, but the computers dropped them to fifth, behind the Gators and Crimson Tide, as well as Cincinnati and Texas Christian.

But the Longhorns placement Sunday won’t matter in the big picture if Texas wins out, since one of the two teams ahead of them will lose.

Texas was ranked second in the two polls used in the BCS — the USA Today coaches and Harris Interactive. The Longhorns also were second in the Associated Press media poll.
